The City of Stratford Social Services Department is responsible for providing a broad range of social services in the communities of Stratford, Perth County, and St. Marys.

It is very important to us that we are clearly communicating what these services are and how they can be accessed locally. For this reason, we are launching Ask Us About…Social Services. This project offers you an opportunity to ask questions about the programs available through the Social Services Department and will help us improve how we share and communicate information.

We will be rolling out this project in stages between March and June 2020 based on four topics:

  1. Ask Us About…Ontario Works
  2. Ask Us About…Housing Services
  3. Ask Us About…Homelessness Services
  4. Ask Us About…Children's Services

Here is how it works: You will have two weeks to ask questions about the topic. At the end of that time, we will collect the questions, group them into themes, and post responses within the next two weeks. We will then move on to the next topic using the same process and so on. See the Project Schedule on the right for specific dates.

*Please note that this project is intended to answer general questions only. We will not respond to questions related to personal or individual cases and ask that you contact the Social Services Department at 519-271-3773 ext. 200 so that an appropriate staff can connect with you directly to address your inquiry.
